New Arrivals at Tucumcari Ranch Supply

Boy, have we been busy at Tucumcari Ranch Supply. Every day UPS brings more boxes of merchandise for the store. Christmas is creeping in slowly but very obviously with the tree and ornaments now up and ready for your shopping needs. We have new woven tops from Cowboy/Cowgirl Up and Farm Girl/Farm Boy. We also received some really cute aprons and niteshirts from Hatley which are really popular.

Today we put out clover honey from Haeffli's. We also received creamed and comb honey which is so - - - -o good. Come by and check this out.

We also have received new Montana Silversmith jewelry which is gorgeous. It only makes it better because it's jewelry made in America with a warranty to boot. It can't get much better.

Tucumcari Ranch Supply is now carrying salsas and sauces manufactured by El Pinto in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The El Pinto Restaurant is famous for its atmosphere and food. WATSON'S BBQ

Watson's barbeque will be open and serving that wonderful smoked brisket, ribs and sausage this Saturday, September 18, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. Unless you turned in your order and/or prepaid for it, it is first come, first serve. Come by and check out the new shade and decor which have been installed.

LIVING ON THE LAND

New Mexico State University is offering a fall 2009 program titled "Living on the Land" Application deadline is October 30, 2009. These are evening classes scheduled from November, 2009 - January, 2010. The cost of the class is $150 and the class size is limited to 25. TENT SALE ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2009

Tucumcari Ranch Supply will have a special tent (awning) sale on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the drive way at the store. The sale will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Everything under the tent will be 50% off the marked price. No exchanges or returns on sale merchandise.

2ND ANNUAL COLLEGE RODEO

The 2nd annual Mesalands Community College Intercollegiate Rodeo Competition is scheduled for Saturday, September 18 - 19, 2009, in the Quay County Rodeo Arena. This intercollegiate rodeo competition is open to the Grand Canyon Region and approximately 350 entries have been received for this event. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, September 18, 2009: Rodeo performance opens at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 19, 2009 Slack starts at 10:00 a.m. Championship Performance starts at 6:00 p.m.

WATSON'S BBQ 8/19/09

BULL RIDING AT THE FATHER'S FORGE

The Father's Forge on Lake Street has scheduled their first bull riding/ranch bronc riding event for Sunday, August 30, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. in the Forge's arena. FALL WHEAT PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

The Quay County Extension Office has scheduled a fall wheat production workshop for September 8, 2009, at 8:00 a.m. at the Forrest Fire Station.

Various topics will include seed quality treatments and planting; soil fertility and properties; variety trials; and grazing management and bindweed control.

NMDA CEU's will be offered.

Annual Field Day

NM State Agricultural Science Center at Tucumcari will host their annual Field Day on Thursday, August 6, 2009. Registration will start at 4:30 p.m. at the center with dinner to follow at 5:30 p.m.

The program will start at 6:00 p.m. and will feature Tim Farmer, District Supervisor of District VII New Mexico Office of the State Engineer. The topic will be "Water Rights 101".

The Hay Wagon Tour of the center will start at 6:45 p.m.

There are several topics which will be covered during the Hay Wagon Tour, all of which are of interest to local farmers and ranchers.

2009 State 4H Rodeo and Horse Show

The 2009 State 4H Rodeo and Horse Show is this weekend in Tucumcari. There are kids competing from all over the state. Please make sure that they have a good experience in Tucumcari by making them feel welcome. We have some tough competitors who live right here in the Tucumcari area. If you can, go out and support our kids in this very important competition.

We received our new inventory of Webkinz and they are so-o-o-o cute! No wonder kids want to have a bunch. Come by and see them in person and then take them home and go online and register their adoption. If you have questions, come by and let us introduce you to Webkinz.

Hi Everyone!!

We hope that everyone enjoyed the showers that we had off and on yesterday! Hopefully there is more on its way!

If you haven't been down to the store lately you should come down and have a look at some of our new merchandise. This week we brought in a few pieces of bright, fun pieces for summer. There are necklace/earring sets, earrings, bracelets and watches. If your dining room is feeling a little bland these days you can spruce it up with some of our new placemats and table runners that just came in.

Don't forget that this Sunday is Father's Day! Come down and check out our gifts for dad! We have power tools, tack, and clothes.. and if your dad has everything you can always get him one of our gift certificates so he can pick out what he wants.

If your gonna be in town this weekend don't forget to check out the Mother Road Rally: Party on Route 66!!!! This will be the 6th annual Mother Road Rally and there will be live entertainment with vendors, a beer garden, poker run, biker games, and nightime entertainment. Admission to view the car and bike show, vender expo. and beer garden will be free. The events start Friday at noon at the Quay County Fairgrounds and run through Saturday night.

We will have refreshments out for anyone who stops by on Saturday, So come on down to your locan town and country store!!
